SAILS Co-Op Parental Agreement

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING THE REGISTRATION FORM

  1. We understand that SAILS Co-op is a Bible-based organization. We pray and pledge allegiance to the American flag, Christian flag, and Bible every week. We also teach Bible-based classes.
  2. We realize that people of differing Christian beliefs are accepted in our co-op, and we will do our best to respect others and not cause arguments or division in the group.
  3. We understand that a parent/guardian must be present during co-op in order for our child(ren) to participate.
  4. We understand that the co-op is only an aid to our homeschooling and does not replace our responsibility in overseeing our student's studies in these subjects. We agree to work closely with our child(ren) and his/her teachers to ensure that work is being completed.
  5. We agree to take seriously our contribution to the co-op and to fulfill the duties or positions that we have been entrusted with to the best and fullest of our abilities.
  6. We understand that if we are scheduled to teach or be an aide in a class, we should be there on time and remain in the classroom or with the class until it's finished (or to communicate and coordinate with the other helpers to make sure there is always adult supervision and appropriate help for the teachers).
  7. We understand that our social time is during scheduled breaks or after co-op.
  8. We understand that our child(ren) must attend classes all three hours, with the exception of high school students who can drive themselves to and from co-op. If a high school student is not participating for all three hours, they must leave the premises after their class is finished.
  9. We understand that if our child is regularly uncooperative in attitude or actions, he or she may be asked to leave and our tuition will not be reimbursed.
  10. We understand that there will be no corporal punishment (spanking or hitting) of any child. Instead, PLEASE use a time out, sensory or movement break, or something similar that is appropriate for the individual child.
  11. We understand that there may be adults and children in attendance who have health issues, including compromised immune systems. We will respect others by using common sense and good judgment and not attend co-op when one of us may be contagious.

Tuition cost is $30 per family per semester and must be paid prior to starting classes.
